Yours faithfully.

My Art Director and I thought we would tackle a D&AD brief.

We needed to push paper (onto creatives) in a world where everything is going digital. Realising hand written letters are worth more than they weigh, we wrote to each D&AD judge, as paper, reminding them of the good times shared.

You better believe we actually signed, sealed and delivered them to said creatives.
The result of this is below...

You spin me right round baby, right round.

The Letters.

CRAIG OLDHAM, Designer
Likes pots; as in pots full of tea and being as potty-mouthed as they come.

HATTIE NEWMAN, Paper Artist
Child Cartographer

*Each letter, as in every, single, individual letter was painstakingly cut out. The orange peeking out is a slip of paper set behind the letter to make it more legible. Blood, sweat and tears were put into this. There are scars to prove it.

SU BLACKWELL, Paper Artist
Loves fairytales and like a fairy Godmother, transforms old fairytale books into works of art.
Picture
*A very old, second-hand botany book was dissected for the words of this letter. The book-lover in me was slightly appalled... but fear not it remains on my bookshelf to this day.

Bruno De Luca, Creative Director
Super fancy design skills, some (most) would say he is a design and tech heavyweight.
Little paper use was suspected.

*To go along with the suspicion that Bruno used paper less than the other judges, we went with a break-up theme.
Tears were added for dramatic effect.

MATTHEW WIERENGA, Stop Motion Animator
The one who has it all- uses a lot of paper and is tech up to the nose.

Lucy Hale, Senior Art Director
Not a butcher or a baker but she is a candle maker!

The letter crafted for any creative.
